Progressive Class Action Settlement
The class action, Reynold v. Progressive Direct Insurance Co., filed in the Northern District of Alabama, Case No. 5:22-CV-00503-LCB (the “Class Action”) has reached a settlement. The action centered around the allegation that Progressive was paying its insureds less than “actual value” on total loss vehicles. The settlement is supposed to pay out nearly $31 million to claimants.
If you think you may qualify as a member of the class, you must file a timely claim form. You may also decide to opt out or object to the class settlement, but those deadlines are fast approaching. Read more from this link: Reynolds v. Progressive Class Action. Click the link to learn more.
The Court has not approved the settlement as of the date of this blog post. If you experienced a total loss and Progressive was the payor for your claim, I’d encourage you to act now to see if you qualify for payments under the proposed settlement, or to either exclude or opt out of the class. Don’t delay as those deadlines are fast approaching.
